Disclaimer: Contractor-Only Engagement

Canadian Disaster Response Organization (CDRO) does not hire full-time or part-time employees.

All individuals and entities who provide services to CDRO do so strictly as independent contractors (or through their own incorporated businesses) under a written services agreement. Contractors are engaged to deliver specific services on CDRO’s behalf and are responsible for their own business operations.

What this means

  • No employment relationship: Engagement with CDRO does not create an employer–employee relationship.

  • No employee benefits: Contractors are not eligible for employee benefits, vacation pay, statutory holiday pay, overtime, or other employment-related entitlements.

  • Taxes and remittances: Contractors are responsible for their own income tax filings and any required remittances (including CPP/QPP, EI, HST/GST, and payroll-related obligations, as applicable).

  • Insurance and compliance: Contractors are responsible for maintaining any required insurance, licences, certifications, and regulatory compliance necessary to perform the services.

Any postings, outreach, or discussions regarding opportunities with CDRO are intended to identify and engage contract service providers only. No communication from CDRO should be interpreted as an offer of employment.
