Eric Lucko

CDRO is pleased to introduce Eric Lucko, a proud Member of the CDRO team. 

 

Eric Lucko brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the field of emergency management. With formal education both in emergency management and Civil Engineering Technology. ,  With years of experience in each field, he is a versatile and prepared EM professional.  

His commitment to public safety includes a prior commission with Emergency Management Ontario; vast experience building Ontario’s critical infrastructure and his current role as the Emergency Management Coordinator for the City of Guelph. 

  

In addition to his professional work, Eric is a Personal Disaster and Assistance Team Supervisor with the Canadian Red Cross and a Search and Rescue Technician with Guelph Search and Rescue. Throughout his career, he has coordinated on-site complex responses and served in various capacities within provincial and municipal Emergency Operations Centres. Eric also has expertise in the important task of preparing for emergencies before they even occur. He regularly creates and manages training exercises, develops emergency response plans, and conducts public education/speaking and outreach initiatives on emergency preparedness. He is passionate about sharing his knowledge and also regularly instructs formal courses on a variety of subjects. 

  

In his spare time, Eric enjoys an eclectic range of interests including competing nationally and internationally in Modern Pentathlon and Open Water Swimming; is an avid Horologist, Bookman, accomplished Violinist and proud member of La Société de la Couronne du Canada.
