Dr. Campbell Page
Dr. Campbell Page, also known as Neibow Wabusk, is Cree and Red River Métis and the owner of Rising Bear Consulting. He is a consultant, psychotherapist, reconciliation specialist, and Indigenous Healer. His mandate is to nurture reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples and his work sees him healing relationships and facilitating programming across Canada.
Although Dr. Page’s family roots are in the Peguis First Nation and Red River Métis settlements near Selkirk, Manitoba, and the Moose Cree First Nation in Moose Factory, Ontario, he grew up near Wabigoon Ojibway First Nation in Ontario and the Muskoday First Nation in Saskatchewan. These diverse communities significantly influenced his upbringing. His parents’ leadership roles as manager and president of the Uranium City Friendship Centre provided a strong foundation of Indigenous leadership and achievement.
Dr. Page holds a doctoral degree centred on facilitating change within and between diverse community organizations by building positive community relationships. He embraces a traditional Cree understanding of holistic living and healing, which has guided his pursuits in mental health, psycho-spiritual therapy, multicultural and multi-spiritual healthcare services, and cross-cultural relations. He is an Indigenous Certified Spiritual Care Practitioner with the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care (CASC), a trained Indigenous Healer, and a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. His volunteer efforts in decolonizing and indigenizing CASC were recognized with the Verda Rochon award for Distinguished Service, acknowledging his significant contributions to the profession and the association. Additionally, he has been honoured with a Chief Joseph blanket for his reconciliation work with an international non-profit organization.
Dr. Page brings over a decade of experience in providing high-quality, reconciliation-based consulting and leadership across various sectors, including higher education, grant foundations, and healthcare. His work with a Christian denomination, recognized locally, nationally, and internationally, stands out as one of his most challenging yet successful endeavours in reconciliation.
With over 25 years in senior management, Dr. Page firmly believes in the interconnectedness of all people. He advocates that how one of us lives affects us all and that living by principles of love, respect, courage, truth, honesty, humility, wisdom, and a deep connection to our Creator can help heal past and present wounds, creating limitless possibilities for the future.
In his role as Indigenous Peoples Liaison, Campbell will bring an Indigenous lens into all areas of strategic emergency management for CDRO.
