Bill Neadles
We're excited to spotlight the incredible talent on our team. Today, we introduce Bill Neadles, a dedicated member of the Canadian Disaster Response Organization (CDRO) and an emergency management professional with 42 years of public service at the Toronto Police Service (TPS), where he served as Unit Commander, overseeing TPS's emergency management program. His leadership extended to commanding the TPS Public Order Unit (POU), the Mounted Unit, and several specialized teams.
Throughout his career, Bill was designated as the Incident Commander and held Command Staff positions in numerous major emergency response situations and public order events, including floods, ice storms, power outages, major explosions, evacuations, and significant events like the G20 and Pan Am Games.
Bill's collaborative spirit shone through his partnerships with private sector organizations (TAPPS, SAFE, BIAs, and others) and his representation of TPS on various emergency management committees at the municipal, provincial, and federal levels. He also contributed as a member of the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police and the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police EM Committees.
A passionate advocate for the use of IMS/ICS, Bill is a Level 4 Provincial IMS/ICS/EM accredited trainer by EMO. He shares his vast knowledge as a Professor at Centennial College and an Instructor at George Brown College, teaching Emergency Management and Exercise Design courses. Bill also contributes to strategic committees for both colleges and serves on the School of Emergency Management Academic Advisory Committee, with past involvement at the University of Toronto and York University.
Certified as an Emergency Manager (CEM) through the International Association of Emergency Managers, Bill is also a founding member partner of GTA Emergency Management Consultants Inc. and Emergency TIPS.
